If you're interested in photographing weddings, but you're not sure where to begin, you've come to the right place. Working as a third shooter & lighting assistant (you will do both) for an established wedding photographer is the best way to start your wedding photography journey. Think of it as an internship (often paid) that will give you hands-on experience in the field and sharpen your skills as a photographer.
